If you want somewhere where you can have the opportunity to play in front of an audience rather than to yourself, you've come to the right place. Both of us have been singing and playing for many years - in Chris's case far more than he cares to mention!!! - and have experienced the frustration of having no-one to play to but the cat :)

So we thought we'd start the Wokingham Folk and Acoustic Blues Club. You can play your own music or someone else's - we're not going to get too picky about whether the songs are traditional folk or blues, as long as you play them acoustically. You can sing unaccompanied or accompanied. Actually you don't have to sing at all, you could just play an instrumental piece. And you can choose to play alone or with others.

What we're hoping is that, as the club gets going, people will make new friends, swap ideas and, maybe even form a few bands, acoustic of course. Most of all we hope you'll have fun.
